webfact
Two members of an army bomb disposal squad were killed and another injured by a southern insurgent IED attack on the convoy of the deputy commander of the Fourth Army Region in Si Sakhon district of the restive southern province of Narathiwat on Friday. Maj-Gen Paisal Nusang, the deputy commander of the Fourth Army, and his men were travelling in a four-car convoy, on their way back from visiting a paramilitary ranger outpost in Si Sakhon sub-district, when the convoy came under the bomb attack. It is reported that insurgents, hiding in bushes about 100 metres from a road in Ban Ai-Kasae, detonated the powerful device buried under the road as the convoy was about 800 metres from the army outpost. Popular Post PJPom
To the first poster, they were in a pickup driving by and all respect should be given to bomb disposal crews, the bravest men in any army. Rant over, it’s just that I have a friend who has been working for years in Cambodia clearing land mines so immediately gets a response from me. 1

Recapped to the RAMC for a quieter life after getting a LE Commission.
bangon04
Bomb disposal is a very brave person. In Thailand's military structure it is probably even braver than many other countries.....

edwinchester
Key army personnel driving in a war zone in a pick-up. When will the Thai Army give them proper armoured vehicles that will give them a chance of surviving such an attack?
