Opposition seeks injunction against transport minister contesting election

Thailand’s opposition MPs are gathering signatures on a petition to the Constitution Court to strip Transport Minister Saksayam Chidchob of his right to contest the general election.

 

Move Forward MP Pakornwut Udompipatskul said today (Monday) that MPs of several opposition parties agree with the move.

 

He said that the previous petition to the court only sought an order to strip Saksayam of his political post, for allegedly not declaring his stake in a business enterprise.
