Bring back Tiffin carriers.  Re usable and create no waste. The amount of Thai food sold in plastic bags with a rubber band is staggering. ( Every single hour of every single day )

In Asia, everyone used to buy and carry their food in the pinto ( tiffin carriers ) so it's nothing new and although initially it would be a struggle to change peoples throw away mind set , eventually it would become the norm again.

I would say they should start making cups out of more a solid Digestive Biscuit mix - but going by Tops and Big C Import taxed goods prices, the price of the cup would be about £25 !

Regular plastic and styro foam is cheaper. That is why you still see it so much being used. For local sellers it is mostly about costs, not so much about the environment unfortunately.

Exactly,  that's why the burning of fields.   Much cheaper than tilling it.

Economic concerns will always top environmental issues.

It'll never change.
