Bangkok air quality improves Thursday, high dust levels remain in some areas

Air quality in Bangkok has improved today (Thursday), but it still poses a threat to health, with 70 areas in the capital reporting PM2.5 dust readings of 56-99 microns between 5am and 7am, according to the Air Quality Information Centre of the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA).

 

Of the 70 affected areas, Bueng Kum sub-district recorded the highest level of PM2.5 at 96 microns, which is health threatening.

 

Other affected areas of Bangkok today include Bang Khen, Chatuchak, Bueng Kum, Min Buri, Prawet, Samphanthawong, Wang Thong Lang, Phra Nakhon, Ban Na, Sathorn, Yannawa, Thawee Wattana, Taling Chan, Bangkok Yai, Nong Khaem, Phasi Charoen and Bang Bon districts.
