Immigration back in Khao San area! Illegal migrants flee arrest - selling rotis, kebabs and clothes, jobs for Thais only

INN Thai Caption: Illegal migrants arrested selling food and clothes in Khao San

 

INN reported that immigration officers from Region 1 swooped on Rambuttree and Khao San Roads in Bangkok for the second time this year.

 

Back on February 7th 11 illegal migrants were arrested for selling things at stalls taking jobs reserved for Thais.

 

Yesterday immigration returned and their appearance caused a mass scarpering among the illegals who abandoned their stalls.

 

They were selling kebabs, rotis and clothes - jobs that only Thais are allowed to do.

 

The result was the arrest of three people from Myanmar and one Laotian who had no passports or work permits to show.
