snoop1130
Employees of Bangkok Mass Transit System Public Company (BTSC), the operator of Green Line sky train service, have threatened to go on strike if the government fails to respond to their demand for the settlement of 50 billion baht owed to the company by Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) within seven days. Seksak Hoonsa-ard, a representative of the BTSC staff, said today (Tuesday) that they will submit their demand to Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha at Government House today. He insists that the protest by the staff is on their own initiative and has nothing to do with the management. soi3eddie
Only in Thailand. There's a lot underlying this, with court cases and National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) being involved. Don't see this saga ending, or payment forthcoming anytime soon. Edited March 15, 2023 by soi3eddie

It actually makes sense. If you consider that as long as they are owed the money and losing money on the books people can not get raises nor can they effectively hire staff and possibly make repairs. If they go on strike the air pollution will be the least of people worries. Imagine all the vehicles on the road.
