Uniform electricity rate to be charged for domestic and non-domestic users

Thailand’s Office of the Energy Regulatory Commission (OERC) has decided to impose a uniform electricity rate of 4.77 baht/unit for both household and non-household customers from May through August.

Thai police end search for missing baby boy, now known to be dead

Police in the central province of Nakhon Pathom have officially ended the search for a baby boy who has been missing since February 5. The 8 month old baby, known as “Nong Tor”, is now known to be dead, after his mother confessed that he died while in her care in the district of Bang Len.

Driver injured as Phuket tour bus ploughs into power pole on Patong Hill

A Phuket tour bus that had been on its way to pick up nurses and other staff at Patong Hospital has slammed into a power pole on Patong Hill. The bus, which was empty apart from the driver, was one of 3 vehicles chartered to take Patong Hospital staff to Khao Lak, according to a Phuket News report.
