Ministries Announce Progress of Graduate Employment Program

BANGKOK (NNT) - Over the past year, the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Labor collaboratively developed education curricula that correspond to labor market demands. The two ministries also launched an online platform to match fresh graduates with employers in order to improve job placement prospects and the likelihood of employers getting workers whose skills match their requirements.

Foreigners getting more yellow and red cards for misdemeanours in Phuket

In Phuket, recent incidents involving foreigners behaving badly could result in yellow or red card warnings under the new penalty system for misbehaving visitors. A red card penalty, for serious crimes, would lead to a one-way deportation out of Thailand and possibly a ban on returning.

Maya Bay’s battle between mass tourism and the blacktip reef sharks

Maya Bay, located on Koh Phi Phi Leh in between Krabi and Phuket in Phang Nga Bay, was made famous as the location for the movie “The Beach” in 2000. Children in northeast and south of Thailand at highest risk from climate change

The latest impact assessment report from UNICEF reveals that Children living in the northeastern and southern areas of Thailand are at a high risk of their health development and well-being being affected by climate change and environmental hazards, especially in the provinces of Ubon Ratchathani, Nakhon Ratchasima, Sri Sa Ket, Nakhon Sri Thammarat and Narathiwat.

Environment police to take charge of investigating chemical recycling firm

126 tonnes of sulfuric acid bound for Myanmar impounded at Laem Chabang port

Suradej Trongsirivibool, the customs chief at Laem Chabang deep-sea port, said that the 126 tonnes of sulfuric, worth 12.6 million baht and which were in transit, have been impounded because the importer could not produce the required documentation concerning the transit of dangerous goods.

16 public venues in Bangkok to be opened for election campaigning
