Daily News reported that the grandson of a resort owner had been arrested by police in Don Muang. He is the head of a gang that has been stealing motorcycles, cutting them up and sending the pieces to neighboring countries. Picture: Daily News Two underlings were also arrested. Arrested were Udon M., 49, from Lopburi, and Chayaphon N., 52, from Chiang Mai who were named on warrants to commit theft using a conveyance. Also arrested was 25 year old Natthaphon N., from Chainat. Picture: Daily News They were all arrested at a convenience store in Nakhon Sawan at the weekend. Several pick-ups and stolen motorcycles were taken into evidence. Earlier there had been a spate of thefts in the Don Muang area in northern Bangkok. An investigation led police to a mountain of bikes in Lopburi that had been dismantled ready for sending the parts abroad. Picture: Daily News Chayaphon dropped his gang boss right in it by saying how he had been paid 5-6,000 baht to pick up a stolen bike. This one had new plates put on and a new ignition and was on its way to Mae Sot then Myanmar in the NW. Udon recently served a prison term in Pathum Thani for receiving stolen goods. He was released midyear 2022. Everybody needs to have some kind of career, even grandsons of resort owners in Thailand.
