Hunt For Policeman Who Killed His Father-In-Law, Three Others In Surat Thani

A BIG HUNT is underway for a policeman who together with his brother shot dead his father-in-law, his second wife, his brother and another relative last evening (Apr. 8th) but in the ensuring shootout at their home in Surat Thani the policeman’s brother was killed, Thai Rath newspaper said (Apr. 9).

Phuket — Two Russian brothers crashed their motorbike on a steep road in Phuket’s Thalang district. The older brother passed away on the spot while his younger brother was badly injured.

Chonburi — Four minivan passengers passed away immediately and another four reportedly died later at a hospital when their vehicle rear-ended a trailer while traveling from Chonburi to Chanthaburi province for a work permit extension at 5:30 AM on Saturday, April 8th.

The leader of the United Thai Nation (Ruam Thai Sang Chart) and Secretary-general to the Prime Minister, Pirapan Salirathavibhaga, gave a hard-hitting speech at a rally in Bangkok on Friday attended by the party’s ultra-conservative supporters and key figures. He vowed to ‘get tough’ on ‘nation haters’ while urging people who wanted to dramatically change the kingdom’s culture and institutions to leave and go to live in another country emphasising that Thailand will never change to suit their desires.


With just five weeks to go to the May 14th General Election, the old political divide is starting to reassert itself as pro-establishment parties seem unable to halt the momentum of both the Pheu Thai and Move Forward parties
