drone not working

Check the manual

Has all been turned on in the correct order ?

Has the correct channel been selected on the tx

is the tx pre programed ?

Ps Are you familiar with rc equipment ?

Was there a binding plug with the receiver ? Did you use it ?

To add, all switches on the FlySky TX need to be in the proper position.

Try re-binding.

Also test on your other drones, to eliminate the TX as the problem.  Assuming new drone uses a computable protocol with TX.

Check to make sure the RX wire/plug hasn't come loose since initial binding.

Usually led's go solid when rx-tx are bound correctly.

Correct...... proceedure is place the binding plug supplied in the "battery/bind " socket in the receiver.(only one place it's obvious by the markings)

power up the receiver with the rx battery plugged into any of the remaining servo sockets.....

watch for correct polarity, you don't get a second chance if it's wrong.

Receiver Led will flash.......... turn on transmitter and select "bind" in the menu.

Wait for receiver Led to go solid then remove battery from receiver and turn off transmitter.

Remove binding plug then repower, transmitter first, Led should be solid.

NOTE:...........Best to do the binding with at least, all propellers romoved.

BTW.......make sure you have the appropriate licence/permit.....penalties for operation without one can be rather stiff...........remember you are operating where manned aircraft fly at times.

Op

You crashed it, so could be many things wrong.

As suggested by an other poster have a look round utube

plenty of tutorials on stuff, just find your model and watch a few.

Here is one on a Flysky transmitter.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8a2Op7Zbqm8

Also mentioned by an other poster, remove props before working on it.

Also watch some utube stuff on battery charging, battery fires and storage of batteries.

It does sound like you need to bring your understanding of RC up a little bit.

Good luck.

the new ESCs have different wiring , a red and a black for power but signal wire has only 2 wires in stead of 3 wires ,what do i do ??

Have a look at this clip.

At a guess it's missing the telemetry wire.

But not 100% sure.

You could just put them on and see what features don't work.

maybe they are just things you don't use.

Would have been a good idea to mention that initially.

Best to show photos of the before and after (old and new) so people know what you are referring to.

Crystal ball gets very cloudy when info is scarce.

Binding plug is a servo plug with a short wire across the two outer terminals.

the 3 wires are yellow red and brown supposed to be for 3 phases  of  motor ,,now new escs have 2 wires white and black and have shielding, technology has moved on in 8 years ,but where to? on youtube clip it says you dont need these wires if you dont want em .cant figure that one

also old drone  has a decoupling capacitor of 220 uF at esc power and signal but now   has no  capacitor  so wondering if i should move em across? or are they no longer needed??ile get some photos organised ,,thanks for your input

flight controller is a Naze 32 type which may have    been updated by now .i have a spare controller which is a CC3D which i can change to

As I said previously, show some photos of what you have.

Your latest statement doesn't make any sense.

Primarily as the 3 motors cables are power wiring and never seen or required any "shielding"

If on the other hand you are referring to the "servo" plug, yes, they do many times only run the signal and common ground as the bus power is already there, fed via receiver.

There can be many variations so show what you have there........

Example of 2 wire signal below.......

  • 2 weeks later...

JR cable (from controller).......red = positive supply......... brown = negative supply .......... yellow = signal cable

2 core from each esc ( blue and black........... depending on esc brand ) would normally be (but you need to supply a link to where you bought the esc to be certain)

blue = signal line and black = negative common.( as above....check with the specs on your esc to be absolutely certain......... you don't get two goes at it if you are wrong)

There is no need for the red from the controller to be connected as the controller already has supply and the esc gets it's supply from the battery leads ( heavier red and black cores)

I've already shown this above so if you cannot follow it, suggest you get in touch with one of the blokes that fly models up there in Udon.

Don't know if the club is still operational, last time I saw them was around 5 years ago, but the blokes will surely be around somewhere.

Op, did you establish that the esc unit/units were the original fault.

and not the main control  board ?

just a thought. :jap:

Ps you could push the boat out and buy the correct parts. :giggle:

Sorry, could not resist it. :jap:
