At least 7 still missing in seas off Nakhon Si Thammarat as search continues

Two people have been found dead and at least seven are still missing after over 20 small fishing boats capsized during a freak storm off Thailand’s southern province of Nakhon Si Thammarat.

61-year-old man dead with his dog in a freak swimming pool electricity accident in Udon Thani

Police on Friday night and into Saturday morning conducted their investigations at the house after the water pump was shut down and the dead man’s body and that of his beloved dog were removed from the swimming pool. It is understood that the man was electrocuted when an old water pump short-circuited and electrified the water in the family’s swimming pool.


Wife was shocked after she returned from Songkran celebrations in the late evening before nightfall to find her husband floating face down in the pool.

Thai Economy Forecast to Grow 3.3-3.7% This Year

BANGKOK (NNT) - The Thai economy is expected to grow by 3.3% in 2023, according to the Asian Development Bank (ADB), while the Japan Center for Economic Research (JCER) and the Nikkei newspaper predict a growth rate of 3.7%.

TV tower on Doi Pui mountain in Chiang Rai saved from forest fires

The Channel 9 TV transmitter tower, located on top of Doi Pui mountain in Mueang district of Thailand’s northern province of Chiang Rai, narrowly avoided destruction by forest fires last night, thanks to the hard work of fire-fighting volunteers.

Over 25,000 Thai men from diverse backgrounds volunteer for RTA enlistment

Delighted tourists spot around 50 “Orca” whales off the Similans

A group of tourists on a sightseeing tour around Phang Nga’s Similan Islands have been delighted by the sight of 50 Orcas, aka. killer whales. According to a Nation Thailand report, the Orcas were sighted about 10 minutes off the coast.
