Why do some Farang worry so much about Thailand being too =hot=?
Why live in a hot place if most of the time you stay indoors? I came from, and am going back to Texas, where it's actually hotter there on average than here, even though we get freezing temps and some snow in south Texas. Here, the humidity is too much at times, like living in Houston, and the rainy season has you staying indoors much of the time, which gets very boring. The best choice is to live where you can enjoy your hobbies, the season changes, and do what you want to do safely and with freedom. -

'Lost Control' Having been a Passenger in several high powered Cars driven by Thai's (usually i'm the only one wearing a Seat Belt) i can say it is not a nice experience at all as they love showing off. Normal practice seems to be no Seat Belt and either driving with one hand on the Steering Wheel or at times just one finger or one thumb. No surprise then when they 'lose control' as you only need to hit ah empty Fag Packet at high speed to 'lose it' if you are not at any time in complete control of the Vehicle ! -

New Thai voice in Google Translate?
I don't trust my own ears that much since I'm sometimes using hearing aids, sometimes not, but I swear Google Translate has a new female voice reading out the Thai. It seems too that the pauses and intonations of the originally recorded speech get reproduced by the voice upon replay (rather than the whole recorded text getting rattled out in one sweep). -
