Weatherman says current hot weather in Thailand does not qualify as a heat wave

You are right it was a late start this year to the hot season, you know when it is here, when the wind comes from the south, which they have for some time now but this year they are also coming from the SW, which for us is almost a first time, as for coming from the NW never not around here  Lopburi, nor will it be until the rains comes.

    I am at a loss for his take on this. Yet if it's truly low pressure causing the high heat then we'll it's not a heat wave.  

  • The guy is correct. It's a brief period of heat. It wasn't that hot last month.

... used almost 1000kWh last month, and we didn't drive that much.   ACs working overtime.

I'm a Brit..............so if this weatherman is an 'expert' I'm not listening to him.

Yesterday, I would have called this so called expert names. It was sweltering! (Pattaya area).

"extended period of hot weather relative to the expected conditions"
yes it is the hottest season so it is expected
