The No.1 prime ministerial candidate for the United Thai Nation (UTN) Party visited Chiang Mai yesterday in an attempt to sway voters, Bangkok Post reported. Prayut, joined by key UTN Party members including leader Pirapan Salirathavibhaga, took a hiatus from official responsibilities to campaign for UTN candidates. This marked his first visit to Chiang Mai, a notable Pheu Thai political stronghold and home province of Thaksin Shinawatra, since the dissolution of the House. Thaksin’s daughter, Paetongtarn, is one of the front-runners for the party’s prime ministerial position. With ten House seats in contention in Chiang Mai, the UTN is campaigning for each one. Srikcir Posted April 22, 2023 Posted April 22, 2023 More than 2,000 police officers deployed to protect him from a small group of protesters: "8 years, no future, get out" and "Loong Too, borrow, borrow, borrow." Protesters were not allowed to enter the fair ground where Prayut appeared. 2

brommers Posted April 22, 2023 Posted April 22, 2023 Surprised he ventured here. No doubt the happy people who were pictured surrounding him was rentacrowd. The sooner he is sent packing back to his house in the army compound the better. 1
TigerandDog Posted April 23, 2023 Posted April 23, 2023 On the local tv news up here whilst Prayut was campaigning in the market Future Forward were also campaigning at the same time. Unfortunately for Prayut one of his lackies was caught on camera bullying and harassing the Future Forward people & supporters and had to be dragged away before his actions turned to violence.
chalawaan Posted April 23, 2023 Posted April 23, 2023 Came here for another jaw dropping juvenile remark from the good General, wasn't disappointed.
