Minivan Topples Six Power Poles in Phuket, Driver Injured

Phuket — A Phuket minivan knocked over six power poles in the small hours of today, April 23rd. The driver suffered non-fatal injuries.


The accident, which occurred on Koh Kaew-Ban Sam Kong Road in Phuket’s Mueang district, was reported to Mueang Phuket Police at 02:30 AM.

 

The accident scene was a two-lane road. Six collapsed utility poles were discovered at the scene along with a crumpled minivan and an unidentified man stuck inside.

The real question is whether the power poles acted in individual volition to wreck the van or was it a conspiracy.

Either way it's scary.

 

From now on I will avoid any Thai roads with power poles lurking nearby.

(the jury is still out on whether roadside trees also harbor such vicious intentions).
