Solo political activist Ruangkrai Leekitwattana urged the Election Commission (EC) on Wednesday to dissolve the eight coalition parties, led by Move Forward, claiming that the MoU, which binds them together to form a government, is tantamount to domination of the parties and deprives them of their independence.

 

The Palang Pracharath party member said that he wants the EC to investigate whether the insistence on the MoU by the Move Forward party is a violation of the Political Parties Act, because the document binds the eight parties together, depriving them of their independence.

 

He claimed that he had closely monitored the MoU drafting process and discovered that the contents of document were the result of negotiations, adding that he had to lodge a complaint against all eight parties, instead of just the core Move Forward party.

How about respecting the people's vote, is that really asking too much?

Not surprising that there is a move to disband the MFP.  A danger to the establishment, allowg the general populace to have a say in their government.

A result of negotiations, so it isn't depriving them of their independence.

They can join the coalition under certain conditions that the MFP have promised to the population. If they don't wish to join so be it.

At one level the fellow is a buffoon, and his allegations are complete nonsense. However they could serve to further delay "certification" should the Election Commission decide that they are duty bound to investigate. That of course is part of the game - allowing a defeated government to remain in place, and deny the election winners their place.

 

What happens if, after 60 days, the results are still not certified?

I always felt that forming a coalition gave these minor losers power beyond their mandate from the people.....they get concessions they could otherwise have no hope of.

A political activist who condemns a winning political majority in a fair and open election but does not challenge with equal fevor a seizure of power in a 2014 military coup that retained practically an unelected coup assisted prime minister before the last alleged election in 2019 might better fit the title fascist activist who can't tolerate opposition.
