A New York state judge has set a trial date for Steve Bannon’s fundraising fraud case for May of next year.

In a brief court hearing Thursday, the judge said Bannon’s trial would begin May 27, 2024 – roughly two months after former President Donald Trump will be on trial before the same judge, Juan Merchan, in a separate case related to falsifying business records tied to hush money payments.

Bannon has pleaded not guilty to multiple counts of conspiracy, money laundering and scheme to defraud. He was first indicted on federal charges in 2020 but pardoned by Trump in his final days in office.

Four shirts per day, a seven day trial, so twenty-eight shirts packed.

By then he may be up to five shirts at a pop?

Mr Smith may be taking an interest in him as well.

This guy not only dresses in layers, he usually looks like he slept in his clothes.  And he slept wherever it was he passed out.

Priceless. A MAGA fan trying to defend someone who scammed MAGA fans! ????

The only reason he's not already convicted is that Trump pardoned him. His associates have already been convicted for the same case.

In case you have forgot, in the USA you are innocent until proven guilty. Just like Biden, there are many bad things pointing his way but until they stick it's just water off a ducks back.

Ok. So let's say that  given the fact that his associates have already been convicted for the same case, there is a significant probability he may be convicted too.

Additionally, given the fact that he asked for a pardon, he was himself estimating that there was a significant probability he could have been convicted in the previous trial.

The principle is indeed "innocent until proven guilty" but you seem to be conveniently ignoring the fact that Bannon founded this scheme along with a number of associates - all of whom were convicted already. Since he was the chairman of the organisation, how is it that you reckon that they can be guilty and yet he isn't?

I've got another question for you. Bannon helped raise $25 million dollars from MAGA supporters for the "We Build the Wall" organisation, which promised that, "100% of the funds raised … will be used in the execution of our mission and purpose.”

Given that prosecutors already presented documents showing that Bannon (and the others) used hundreds of thousands of dollars of the money on personal spending such as "home renovations, payments toward a boat, a luxury SUV, a golf cart, jewelry, cosmetic surgery, personal tax payments and credit card debt," and that Bannon siphoned off at least $1 million into a non-related organisation under his personal control, how is that not fraud?

So if you can't get Trump go for Bannon. He's not guilty of anything yet and coming from CNN maybe they are trying to get even with Trump, after his great performance on CNN.

Who told you Trump ‘can’t be got’?

Bannon is facing Justice for his crimes, Trump is facing Justice for his crimes.

The only difference is Trump has a lot more ‘Justice’ ahead of him.

Trump wasn't lying. He thought they were the best people. It was his opinion. How many of them did he fire, resigned or were indicted for crimes? More than any other president in history.

Among other things, Bannon is DT's spiritual advisor (allow for a little bit of imagination in that statement).  If not for him, DT would have dropped out of the 2016 race after the Access Hollywood vid surfaced.  It is Bannon who came up with the strategy to get MAGA fans to take the menial election-related jobs in order to bias the elections in their favor.  There is video of Bannon (and also Roger Stone) talking about rejecting a 2020 loss months before the election.

And here's the cherry on the sundae:

He is the thread that ties the 21st century US fascist movement to the WWII European Axis and post-Soviet European fascism.  Without him Fox channel wouldn't know about Orban or Lukashenko.
