DDPM gears up for all kinds of natural disasters

Director-General of the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM) Anucha Mokkhavesa (อนุชา โมกขะเวส) instructs the department’s officials to be fully prepared for all kinds of natural disasters to prevent damages to life and assets.

The director-general says natural disasters the department focuses on during this period include inundation, landslide, mudslide, and flash flood which cause damages in a wide area. He suggests the officials to inspect the readiness of equipments in order to assist disaster victims more efficiently.

In addition, Mr Anucha calls on the officials stationed in insurgency-ridden areas in the Southern border provinces to be more careful when distributing aid to local people. He also affirms the department has constantly adjusted operational plans in the Deep South with relevant units.
