Pita says he’s focused on people’s problems, shrugs off ‘shares’ issue

Pita Limjaroenrat says his fate will be decided by the legal process and for now, he’s focused on solving the problems faced by ordinary Thai people. Nation Thailand reports that the Move Forward leader was addressing the debate over whether or not he should face prosecution for holding shares in a media company.

Political activist and serial complainer Ruangkrai Leekitwattana previously filed a complaint against Pita and has since submitted additional evidence to support his allegation. The complaint has already been rejected by the Election Commission, but the EC has launched its own investigation into Pita, to determine if he applied as a party-list MP candidate, while knowing he might not be eligible.

Pita has shrugged off whatever evidence Ruangkrai claims to have, saying Thailand’s legal process will determine whether or not he violated the MP Election Act.

The most important part of this equation was 42 seats for Prawit and 37 for Cha Cha. It was a huge repudiation for the status quo. The people said no, I don't think so, you guys are dinosaurs, we don't want you, we don't like you you need to disappear off the face of the earth.

His election is a truly great thing for this nation and shows that the people are both sick of being led by highly ignorant dinosaurs, with no interest in progress, and interested in smart, young folks, who are serious, accomplished, capable of change, and interested in insuring that Thailand has a good future. Pita is exactly what this nation needs, at this point in time. This is a huge blessing. I am optimistic. I think he will stick to his promises.

Go, Pita, go. We are behind you, proud of you and trust in you. You are giving us real hope, for a change

Let us hope these greedy, toxic, moronic, backwards, incapable nitwits get the message, and back down.

Now, they need to figure out a way to get rid of the corrupt, army appointed senators. ASAP. By whatever means necessary. The youth have prevailed. It is a glorious time in Thailand!

There has been no delay. So far everything has adhered to the ridiculous junta constitution timeline. Perhaps, just perhaps Pita is better informed, better placed and better equipped to deal with the situation than you are…, just maybe eh?

The thai people voted for this constitution,

Power in Thailand isn't given, it is taken. If Pita and the Pro-Democracy side want to govern, they need to start fighting back, and quickly. Leaks about the EC members and their pre-election overseas trips and perks, point out the ridiculousness of involving the Senate, discreetly organize street demos, start making public statements about how stupid the process is, etc.

Political power is an ephemeral thing as it is rarely measured, The vast majority of time, political power exists simply because people think you have it. Conversely, if people don't think you have it, you don't have it.

If Pita wants to be PM, he needs to fight like hell now while he has the afterglow of a Democratic election. If he sits back and allows himself to be belittled, judged and insulted by his foes, his power will evaporate before he even uses it. Politics 101 is define your opponent before he can define himself.

All that is happing at the moment he is sitting back.

That pic always makes me wonder why he puts his watch on his right wrist....  would the other be occupied by several other watches?
