Popular Post webfact
A prominent Thai lawyer, known for providing free legal advice via his popular Facebook page, has called for the probe into Move Forward leader Pita Limjaroenrat to be dropped. In a letter submitted to the Election Commission yesterday, June 19, Ratchapol Sirisakhon described the investigation into Pita’s alleged shareholdings in a media firm as “unfair” and suggested the activist who filed the complaint should be sued instead. Political activist and serial moaner Ruangkrai Leekitwattana had filed a complaint with the Election Commission, asking for Pita to be disqualified as an election candidate. He accuses the PM candidate of holding 42,000 shares in a media company, which he says is still operating, despite evidence to the contrary. MikeandDow
Ruangkrai Leekitwattana does not know when to give up, if i was him i would be watching my back and trying to keep family safe,if pita does not get to be pm i think he would be leaving the country as he would be hated by the people. 1

But the problem is that the accuser usually has higher status, so is immune from a counter-suit. 1 hour ago, webfact said: Political activist and serial moaner Ruangkrai Leekitwattana "Serial moaner". Popular Post spidermike007
Political activist and serial moaner Ruangkrai Leekitwattana is a very tragic man. He makes trouble where ever he goes. His latest crusade against cannabis is as bone headed, and short sided as it gets, and has truly revealed what a fool he is. He should somehow be banished. I would like to pay tribute to Ratchapol Sirisakhon, for calling this fake puritan out, and attempting to clear the name of Pita. The people have spoken, change is desperately needed, and if Pita did make a mistake, it is nothing that amounts to being denied the ability to carry out the duties of PM. I am sure Prayuth has done far worse. In essence Leekitwattana is committing an act of treason, by denying the will of the Thai people, and taking up this heinous cause. Lock him up, or make him disappear. 2 1

Evidence if it existed should have, could have, would have been submitted to and reviewed by the EC prior to the election wherein the EC is suppose to determine candidate eligibility for the election. As it was, the EC did approve eligibility of Pita in effect 'estoppel by silence' before the election. What Ruangkrai's continued allegation after the election may amount to criminal defamation and should be prosecuted accordingly. Especially in light of the EC now accepting ALL elected MP's for office. Edited June 20, 2023 by Srikcir Inadvertent bold type 3

Quote: POST-ELECTION INVESTIGATION into allegations filed against 82 elected MPs is still going on to the extent that any of them might possibly be deprived of their MP status at a later date, said Election Commission secretary-general Sawaeng Boonmee today (June 19). It seems the same goes for Pita, he was/has been approved but is still under investigation? As clear as mud news from the EC
newnative
Now if we could just get a groundswell of others speaking out and calling for the investigation to be dropped, as well.
