Visa exempt due on the 8th of July

Hi experts,

 

My visa exempt stamp is due tomorrow on the 8th of July.

 

If I go on Monday for an extension would it count as overstay knowing that the immigration office is closed over the week-end ?

You wouldn't be fined for an overstay at immigration on Monday, but keep in mind that you will be on overstay in the meantime, so if an overzealous cop chooses to arrest you on Sunday, your plan to go to immigration on Monday won't be a valid excuse.

 

Go today if possible. I wouldn't plan to go on overstay in the current climate.

No overstay.

You can obtain 30 day extension couple of weeks prior to expiry of your exempt stamp.

The 30 day extension starts from expiry of stamp regardless of how early you apply for it..

 

You may need to provide TM30.
