Reasonably-Priced (and tasty) Decaf Coffee Beans available in Thailand?

I'm looking to find reasonably-priced decaf coffee beans in Thailand.

I have been drinking coffee every day since I was a kid and would like to give quitting caffeine a try for the first time in over 15 years. This would be mainly for health reasons, as I'm very curious to know what difference it makes long term for sleep quality, productivity and average energy levels throughout the day. Old habits and routines are always hard to get rid of, and I'd still very much like to enjoy the taste my freshly ground coffee every morning if giving it a try.

Decaf beans would make it very easy to slowly taper off caffeine as well, as I could mix them 1/2, 1/4 and so on, until removing the regular ones completely.

Are there any places that sell reasonably-priced decaf coffee beans in Thailand, that have a good flavour as well? I'm currently paying 650 baht per kilo for some very good local beans.

Bon Cafe beans are decent, and they offer a decaf version.  Never tried decaf myself.

Big c has decaf grounded in blue packs that tastes good.  Casino brand i think.

Otherwise try toffee.  Mix tea and coffee until ration tilts towards the tea side to ween off.

Years ago a doctor suggested decaf, so I switched. There are some great decaf beans, but they're not cheap. Best I've found so far here are the Espresso Decaf at Starbucks. Last time I was back in the States, I got a selection of decaf beans from Peet's. They are excellent.

I gave up caffeine in graduate school when I realized I was so jazzed up I went in circles all day. Never had the feeling it was OK to hype  my nervous system synapses that way.

Admittedly there is a debate that is not conclusive but it seems that moderate caffeine can be helpful it seems. Now I'm do sensitive to caffeine I avoid it in all forms, including energy drinks. It isn't really energy anyway except for the sugar.

Caffeine simply enhances the transition of nerve impulses across nerve synapses, but decreases the natural production of epinephrine so that one becomes dependent on it for several days. That passes quickly, if uncomfortably, in a few days.

Still, I drank decaf for several decades until I came here 6 years ago. Being unable to easily find decaf and the ridiculous prices charged for it when I could, I started drinking ovaltine.  That has worked fine for me.

However, lately there are reports that researchers are implicating the chemicals (such as MEK) used to decaffeinate coffee in neurological issues. Easy to search so I won't give a link.

I'm suggesting that you just make a clean break and habituate to something more readily  available and less controversial.

There is no hard evidence that caffeine is truly harmful. Of course there is mounting evidence that claims ANY amount of alcohol is harmful, but I'm hardly going to give up my small Leo every night.

Just a thought. To each his own, and nobody lives forever. Plenty of compelling evidence for that claim ! ????

Decaffein coffe is like "light" milk or drinks which is unhealthy. If you experinced problems drinking original coffee then you should reduse the quantity.Coffee is also diuretic!

Taking ovaltine for health brnefits while quitting coffee.

Absolutely insane thread.

I missed it. Did anybody mention ovaltine for health benefits?

It's just another warm comfort drink as far as I know.

What you want? Forums are all about opinions. What else are they for?

I read the forums at times because facts, not opinions, are posted. Specifically about practical matters like home repairs, cars, building, electrical, etc.

You are welcome to ignore such, but they exist.

BTW, I don't want or expect anything from you.
