Ubon Ratchathani Immigration Office Tightens Measures at Chong Mek Border Checkpoint

On July 14, 2023, Major General Chatchai Samniang, the head of Ubon Ratchathani Immigration Office, ordered Chong Mek border checkpoint officers to strictly enforce their duties.

 

Lieutenant Colonel Thawatchai Mativong assigned Captain Arkhanet Muthawan, the officer in charge at the Chong Mek checkpoint, to supervise this operation, reported Naew Na.

The enforcement is in line with the stringent policies of the Immigration Bureau and the Royal Thai Police, encompassing meticulous screening and validation of legal permits.

Collaboration with local security units is also intensified, including Customs, Disease Control, Border Patrol, Tourist Police, and local Chong Mek Police, to ensure robust security measures.
