At 07:00 am on July 25, 2023, Police Major Pramote Chanboonkaew, Chief of Phetchakasem Station, commanded Police Lieutenant Yuttitham Mahanil and Police Lieutenant Thawatchai Tipvong, along with their investigating team, to apprehend Mr. Tony (surname withheld), 38, who was wanted for attempted murder and carrying a dagger in public without justification.

He was caught near the structure with the number 440 under Taksin Bridge in Bang Khae District, Bangkok, reported Siam Rath.

Earlier that morning, at around 5 am, authorities received a radio notification of a violent attack involving a knife at Chulalongkorn Pharmacy in Bang Khae market area, where a person was injured.

Upon arriving at the site, law enforcement encountered a male individual known as Mr. Nirand (name withheld for privacy), 36 years old, in a critically wounded condition, drenched in blood, and bearing multiple stab injuries to his abdominal region. Swiftly, he was transported to the medical facility for urgent treatment.

As per an eyewitness, a female named Ms. Nantana (identity kept undisclosed), the alleged perpetrator, Mr. Tony, succeeded in evading capture and fled from the crime scene.

However, law enforcement successfully located him nearby, acting strangely and with visible bloodstains on his trousers. They discovered the concealed dagger on his waist and a mobile phone belonging to the injured person in his bag.

During questioning, Mr. Tony confessed to stabbing Mr. Nirand, and he admitted that he had feelings for Ms. Nantana, who was Mr. Nirand's girlfriend.

The incident happened due to a long-standing jealousy towards their relationship. Mr. Tony was taken into custody pending further investigation and legal proceedings by the Phetchakasem police.

We seem to be living in a Thai Soap Opera. Something is seriously wrong with Thai society, with these motives for killing, injuring and maiming their 'loved one' or rival, happening soo often.

Only a few days ago a 14yr stabbed a 15yr old at school over gf jealousy.

Those feelings may have just changed and now not be reciprocated.
