White House takes the gloves off ahead of 2024

The Biden White House has tried to present itself as being above the fray of day-to-day squabbles, but increasingly, it’s jumping in, bashing the GOP and other critics at every opportunity.

The administration didn’t miss a chance this week to hammer Republicans over Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) floating that the House would move towards an impeachment inquiry into President Biden. They were quick with memos and statements to criticize the GOP attacks as a “clown carousel” and the idea of pursuing impeachment as “baseless.”

And the White House issued a scathing rebuke of Fox New host Greg Gutfeld, who said that Jews captured and tortured during the Holocaust survived by having skills and being useful, calling out his comments as a “dangerous, extreme lie.”

The new levels of punchy rhetoric preview the White House messaging strategy going into 2024, which is to fight back and call out what they consider extreme.

It’s a shift from their previous attitude, which was to let what they considered to be Republican chaos speak for itself.

Kinda hard for ol' Joe to take the gloves off when he is on yet another vacation, this one 10 days on the beach in Delaware (again).  Something like 40% of his time in office on vacation. Nice gig.

Here we go again, "b-b-but TRUMP!".  Seriously, it is getting boring.

Joe has taken 340 days off so far in less than 3 years.  Plus his general daily schedule is 6 hours or less when he does bother to show up.

Nearly 60% of Americans report that they are living "paycheck to paycheck" this year, compared to less than 20% in 2019.  Overall costs up 21% over the same term.

Thanks Bidenomics.

Yet Both Trump and Biden spent all or part of at least 250 days at their own properties or on vacation in the first 853 days of their presidencies — that is, through May 22, 2019 or May 22, 2023.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2023/05/22/biden-trump-trips-compared/

When I read the WaPo link I found that of the 256 days of his presidency, he has all or part of 75 days at Camp David (the unofficial designated getaway for presidents) and 68 days overseas. Those 68 days spent overseas are most probably working days and at Camp David he probably was working part time as well.

Whilst the WaPo did not necessarily lie, it also didn't mention what President Biden was actually doing, whilst away from the White House, who else was there or who he met at the time.

At least he wasn't playing golf all the time at the US taxpayers expense for himself or flying his security crew and the aircraft crew to stay and one of President Biden's golf resorts offshore. AFAIK President Biden doesn't own any resorts.

There is more info in the link if anyone is interested in digging a bit deeper.

309 days a year Trump golfed on average during Presidency , Plus Putin Trembles every time he hears Bidens Name

Untrue on both counts. But nice try. If you could come up with some evidence of either claim, please feel free.

Now, do you have any relevant comments on the topic of the discussion, which is the White House supposedly starting to "play tough"?

Actually, in the latest inflation reports for June, the USA came in lowest of the G7. It looks like this inflation was primarily due to a mismatch between supply and demand of goods thanks to covid. Now that that is going away, inflation seems to be reverting to its normal levels.

placeholder  You are the misinformed one.  Even if Biden's inflation reaches 0%.  Prices will still be up 17% since he took office.  Do you eat and consume energy?  The prices are not higher than 2.5 years ago.  You really have to be dumb as all Leftist to believe what you are saying.  Misinformed is a requirement of the Left.  Educate your self.
