Pelosi calls Trump indictments ‘exquisite,’ ‘beautiful’

Former Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) called the federal indictments against former President Trump “exquisite” and “beautiful and intricate” in a new interview published Monday.

“The indictments against the president are exquisite,” Pelosi said in an interview with New York magazine. “They’re beautiful and intricate, and they probably have a better chance of conviction than anything that I would come up with.”

Pelosi was referring to the two latest indictments against Trump unveiled by special counsel Jack Smith.

Last week, Trump was arraigned on four criminal charges related to his efforts to cling to power after losing the 2020 election. In June, he was indicted over his retention of classified documents after he left the White House.

Trump has pleaded not guilty to all charges in both cases.

Pelosi, as Speaker at the time, pushed for an inquiry into the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol, ultimately creating the Jan. 6 select committee, which many credit with providing the basis for the latest indictment against Trump on related charges.

In the interview, which was conducted Friday afternoon, Pelosi resisted taking credit for any of the work of the committee, apart from appointing its members. She praised the panel for providing a “beautiful balance” in its approach and a “seriousness of purpose.”

Pelosi warned in the interview about what she saw as the dangers of another Trump term in the White House.

Let’s hope they nail that fraud once and for all!

Schadenfreude. Such an ugly thing. Pelosi truly exudes spite and vitriol from every pore.

So much so that it is etched across her face for all to see. You'd think the uncanny over-performance of her investments and the vast wealth she accrued during her time as House speaker would have made her happy but maybe it's the knowledge of what she had to do to acquire it that makes her so unhappy?

A truly vile individual.

Alleged by whom? Anyone can allege anything.

Did you actually read the article. Even the right wing daily mail noted that::

"There's no suggestion that Paul broke the law - but some have questioned whether he may have additional information as to how the upcoming Senate vote will go."

Yes, as bad as each other. Pelosi isn't exactly the height of maturity.

And does the Daily Mail article tell us who was making these allegations? Any evidence provided of an ongoing investigation? There is nothing in that article that even hints at a criminal investigation.

A normal response from a Trump supporter. An unsupported mud throwing allegation and straw clutching.

It lacks the most essential item.

Proof.

When/if you have any proof, please post it for all the world to see. At least you will be able to back it up, something that you and other Trump supporters here, consistently fail to do.

Strawman. I am not a Trump supporter. I have even stated on this very thread that I think he and Pelosi are as bad as each other.

Try arguing against my actual position, rather than one you have created on my behalf to discredit me. I know it's your go to tactic, but we can all improve even in our advanced years ????.

Because your criticism of Trump has been a consistent and enduring feature of your comments? It is to laugh.

Why are you asking me? I stated it was alleged. Then I linked to an article where it was alleged. You appear to have more time than me so feel free to investigate if you need more detail.

I often criticize him. I have also stated he is an idiot. Even on this thread I have stated he is as bad as Pelosi, who I clearly dislike.

The fact that you use such statements to conclude I am a huge fan of Trump is an issue for you to resolve, not me ????.

Nancy loves to get under Trump's skin.  Because it's so easy.  Works every time.

First off, the source you cited never claimed there was criminal activity. As for it being "alleged". So what. The validity of such allegations depends on the source. Anyone can allege anything. And anyone can make silly comments like "Indeed, Pelosi's alleged insider trading will hopefully be proven beyond a doubt."

And who knows, maybe somewhere once you signified that you believed Trump there is serious evidence against him of criminality. As far as I can recall, you occasionally indulge in comments about his character. But not about the serious stuff.

I have acknowledged that it is alleged.

I will wait for the result of the trial before I conclude he is guilty. As you should.

A little more about Joe Rogan:

“The January 6 thing is bad, but also, the intelligence agencies were involved in provoking people into the Capitol Building,” Rogan insisted on Saturday. “That’s a fact.”

The 55-year-old comedian-turned-Spotify podcast host then suggested that the infamous January 6 protestor Ray Epps was a federal agent placed amongst Trump’s supporters on the day of the insurrection to “instigate” those trying to overturn the 2020 presidential election.

I said it was alleged.

I then provided proof of the allegation.

The fact you do not think Rogan is credible is neither here nor there regarding the accuracy of my statement.

Don't like Rogan? OK, here's another one for you. A senator.

Here's a definition of alleged as well, since you don't seem to fully understand it.

And I have pointed out to out that there are different kinds of of allegations. Apparently, you believe that an allegation from Joe Rogan (Joe Rogan!) is to be seriously.
