Forty Palang Pracharath MPs are likely to vote in support of Pheu Thai’s prime ministerial candidate, one of them, Pai Leeke, claimed on today (Thursday).

The party, which has Deputy Prime Minister Prawit Wongsuwan as its leader, has not yet been approached by Pheu Thai to join the coalition, according to Pai.

They are all agreed in principle, however, to support the Pheu Thai candidate, because we believe that the country is in urgent need of a government, Pai said.

Here's the plan...Pheu Thai's candidate will fail to secure enough senators.

So Prawit will become the candidate, and the senators will vote for him.

Thailand is in for 5 more years of the disaster that was Prayut.

Palang Pracharath is a conservative military party and their statement to vote for Sretha will have influence on the senates votes. Senator Wanchai Somsiri has reinstated that sentiment by saying that Pheu Thai's Sretha is to receive "full support"from senators at the next parliamentary vote for a new PM. That's a positive development to forming the new government under Pheu Thai as Thailand can't afford to waste any more time on this matter. Senator Wanchai is a very influential person in the senate and anti Shinawatra. His statemment carries a lot of weight.

Pheu Thai MP Invites UTN to Join Coalition

BANGKOK, Aug 11 (TNA) – Thanakorn Wangboonkongchana, deputy leder of the United Thai Nation party (UTN) says Pheu Thai list MP Somsak Thepsutin invited him to join the Pheu Thai –led coalition government.

If the UTN will join the coalition, the whole party will do so, Thanakorn said.

Although Somsak gave him a signal but he said the UTN leader will play a role in the negotiation. He did not know if both parties had already discussed the issue.

However, it is a good sign. He believed that the selection of the new prime minister will be achieved soon.
