That was in 2018.

How about now?

It may change now.

Can you buy baht currency at superrich with credit card?

You can buy foreign currency bank notes at super rich with credit card by paying 3% fee and then exchange the foreign currency bank notes at any money changer for Thai Baht.

You can buy THB with your credit card, so that would be the wrong way to do it.

Use your cc at an ATM best way...

That would be the most expensive way on many UK CC as you will have usual foreign ATM card fees plus cash is often charged a at a higher rate than purchases and the interest is charged from the day of the transaction.  It is also a black mark on your credit report.

I agree, it would be very unwise and very expensive to use a credit card to obtain cash.

I would get rid of any cc that had those parameters attached to it...

It would be very difficult to find a fully functioning CC in the UK that does not have the above restrictions!

Attached is a link which lists other restrictions which most UK CC have!

There are also card transactions which are treated as cash advances, even though you don't withdraw any physical cash. These include:

Making a mortgage payment

Paying a utility bill

Buying travel money and travellers' cheques

Buying gift vouchers

Betting or gambling (including lottery tickets and most transactions in a casino)

UK credit card with no foreign currency charges are not prevalent but easily obtainable.  Interest is mainly avoidable and as long as you don't overdo it (or have other credit issues) will not overly affect your credit rating.

Used in a bank for a cash advance (and paid off immediately) they can be one of the cheapest ways to get cash when overseas.

Please provide an example of such a card that is acceptable worldwide!

PS;  Please note I am referring to using a CC to obtain cash overseas (and as a side issue also in the UK), not just for general overseas purchases!

I don't know where the OP is from!

I am just highlighting the problems with the majority of mainstream UK credit cards for people who use them!

(I used to work in that industry)

There are some limited/specific use UK CCs but the problem is they tend to be for specific functions and not general purpose use!

I don't know about worldwide, but I have two I've used in many places .  An MBNA Visa card and a Halifax Clarity Mastercard.

If starting out now I would probably go for the Barclaycard Rewards (Visa) card as it has the added benefit of interest free spending and ATM withdrawals as long as you repay in full each month.  My two charge interest on cash from the point it's taken so you have to get in quick to repay any cash withdrawals if used this way.

Just as a casino lover, I can give you one good piece of advice. I tried many services with different payment systems and often saw different problems. I found a site where there is a list of services with the pay by sms casino service, this is unique in our time and this is a very interesting experience. You no longer need to look for a credit card or a PayPal account number, everything can be done using your mobile.

I agree about the Barclaycard Rewards card, the conditions are really good.
