Couple of Retirement visa questiond for you experts
Think you are outlining your plan for your particular situation. That will work however messy IMO. Take example of someone located in Bangkok using Pattaya agent. Most likely stamps issued at Jomtien. Would be best to do quick border bounce and start over. In any event doesn't concern OP,s friend who seems not to have the finances. -

Report Chaos in Pattaya as Naked Men Cause Public Disturbances
Picture courtesy of Pattaya News Pattaya residents were left stunned as two separate incidents involving stark-naked men unfolded this week, causing widespread concern in the Bang Lamung district of Chon Buri. The first incident involves a homeless man, estimated to be around 50, frequently seen wandering unclothed near schools and government buildings. His antics, which include defecating in public, have been spotted near Bang Lamung School and Pattaya City School 2. Footage and reports from disturbed locals highlight the risks posed to children and tourists. A local vendor shared concerns, observing that the man often appears fully naked or in donated clothes. "This is right near schools with lots of students. The police need to step in before something bad happens," the vendor implored. The presence of this individual in areas bustling with schoolchildren and tourists has prompted calls for urgent intervention by police and public health officials to prevent further escalation. Adding to the chaos, just past midnight on May 18, Bang Lamung Police were summoned to a separate scene involving a naked Russian man who had escaped from a local hospital. The man, aged 30-40, fled the facility near Naklua Market and was reported moving through Soi Naklua 9 with a rock and a plastic chair, causing property damage. Channel 7 broadcast footage showing police officers and rescue workers pursuing the fugitive through a dark alley. The man resisted arrest, allegedly throwing a chair at the officers, though fortunately, no injuries resulted from the altercation. These incidents have ignited public demand for more robust mental health interventions and enforcement measures to maintain safety and order in Pattaya. Authorities are currently investigating both cases, as residents express urgency for solutions to ensure the community's streets remain secure and appropriately clothed.
