Weetbix is my usual breakfast with 2 x toast and a cup of coffee, but once a week I have chorizo sausages, hash browns, black pud, white pud and baked beans, 2 x toast + coffee.

Did you manage to find black pudding in Thailand? Not had that unique food for years.

I usually eat breakfast at my workbench in my shop each morning.

One or two packages of Deli meat (in this case, ham. Sometimes salami, roast beef, or German sausages), along with a block of hard cheese (Cheddar, Fontina, Edam, or a good goat cheese, etc.), a handful of Kalamata olives, and an avocado in season. All this, accompanied by a liter or two of strong, black tea (my teacup is a 750ml beer stein), such as Yorkshire Tea or Madura's English Breakfast tea.
Every morning for the past 7 years.

Black pud is mostly blood and fat with seasoning. in the UK if differs slightly depending on the region you are in. Some makers add barley etc which I'm not too fond of. Not too sure about white pud.

I buy mine (Black & white pud) at Lawsons F&B in Buriram. He delivers all over Thailand.

You can also get it delivered from Expat Foods Buriram

Click on the names above to go to their sites on google maps.

The Buriram Pieman also sells black pud.

In Pattaya you can get it from Manstons and Prime.

There are a few sellers on Lazada selling black & white pud.

This morning, I had my usual breakfast:

  • 6 scoops of Ensure blended with a banana (sometimes mango)

  • Two slices of buttered toast

  • Glass of Metamucil

  • A variety of about 10 different vitamins

Also KPK, Chef's Kitchen and Holt Dale.

Siamburi's stock them all and ship throughout Thailand.

You are assuming that I have a blender, and rickety teeth.

No assumption was made toward you, just a general thought in hopes someone would bite into the idea and actually do it.

Just the thought of blending it all together makes me sick, there would be no mouth-feel which is very important to give enjoyment.

Back in my working days waking up at 4am my breakfast mainly was 4 raw eggs, a couple of big globs of almond butter, dehydrated wheatgrass juice powder and water blended it up and chug it down for some fast protein and out the door with my tank of coffee.

When do you eat your first food after the coffee?

Usually anywhere from three to eight hours after coffee. Breakfast/first meal time varies. Up at 7am this morning, done with coffee at around 9am, two cups. The wife made me a big salad before she headed out to work and ate that at around 1:30pm.

We are completely different then. I wake at 5.55 in order to get the UK Midnight News, BBC, SKY or GB News, with a litre of water and meds and vits.

Then at 7am, it is my muesli mix with yoghurt and fruits. Snack at mid-day with fresh OJ. and my main meal at 4pm. Then that's it except for a couple of beers (0% Heineken in dry June) but not too late as I do not want to get up in the night.

Does it really take from 7 - 9 am to drink two cups of coffee? I bet you are checking your AN posts as well! 555

I like to read and take it easy in the morning, and in no hurry on the coffee that’s strong enough to tear the hair off your head.

We tried "Grill and Ground" this morning. It's a somewhat new shop going after the Sizzler market.

Nice unlimited salad/soup/pasta/bread/dessert/drink bar, which is B259 standalone, or "free" with an entree.

I had the fish and chips which was pretty nice, and surprisingly large. B299

got

That's the one we went to, but I think there is another one as well. We got there at 8:50, it opened at 9:00, and it was packed by 10:00.

There is a nice Wine Connection and a lot of other restaurants in the same Paseo.

Plenty of parking, indoor and out.

Standard 1* offering, opting for extra egg instead of crap sausage.

IMG_20260703_080919.jpg

Crap (included), cold brekkie, good view though ... too lazy to heat up in microwave, just for an egg, as didn't bother with those meat looking things.

1.jpg

Eggs and some mini minute tenderloins from last butchering. Side of thick cut toast.
