The fact that Israel is removing its embassy from Dublin while not doing so from other nations that are signatories to the ICJ petition is not widely reported, refer Guardian report I linked above. It is however a curious anomaly. I’m with Ireland on this, ‘Ireland’s view of the Convention is broader and prioritises the protection of civilian life ’ (refer Irish Government press release linked above) ought not to be contentious. -

I don't think that the Thai tax department is interested in how much SS you get paid, but they are probably more interested in how much you transfer into Thailand. They will also be interested in your age, if you have children of school age or at college/uni, as they will affect how much your tax allowance in Thailand will be. Please don't accept this as gospel as it is only my thoughts. There is a guy called Mike Lister on the AN forum who knows far more than I do and if you send him a PM he may well be able to help you. The majority of the posters on AN who talk about paying Thai income tax know as much as you and I, which is not a lot, and many have their own ideas about what they will or will not do if they have to pay tax. As for me, I have 3 pensions, 2 assessable and one non assessable, so I will go to the RTD in January and see if they are able to sort it out. I will post the results on the forum but it will probably be the end of January before I know about my case and whether I have to pay tax or not. -

There's also examples of certain professions / services which provide benefits to the public (socialism at work), for example the Australian Medicare system which provides all healthcare needs without charge and funded by all citizens paying a personal income tax charge t end end of each year at around 1.5% of taxable income. It's been in place for more than 4 decades and it works. Education could also be an example where excellent quality education is provides for all children at no charge (funded from general tax receipts). In some countries this included good quality bachelor and masters degrees at no charge, (again funded from general tax receipts). These are examples of socialism at work. Further there are countries where socialist style policies enforce maximum prices for goods and services required for a good quality of life, example food. -

E bike battery
Who is talking about that ? Most ICE batteries, get partially recycled, I think, I hope. BEV batteries get repurposed for energy storage, whether private solar systems or elsewhere. Nothing should be going to the landfills. When our BEV can't keep up with the battery, the pack will get repurposed to the solar system. Anyone got any info to help the OP ??? -

Both. Russia is importing artillery shells and small arms ammunition from North Korea. It is also importing North Korean soldiers, which shows a certain desperation in the Kremlin to avoid drafting recruits from Moscow and St. Petersburg.
