I would like to fly into Surathani and then head to Ko Phagnan. I've never flown into Surathani before. Does anybody know the best way to get to ko phangan from the surathani airport. I know there are 3 or 4 ferries that go there, but i don't know which is the most convinient one to take if flying into surrathani.

There is a bus that picks up at the airport belonging to the Raja Ferry. I'd take that one. Since the OP asked for advice from Surat, your speedboat advice is hardly applicable, Tredz

As far as i am aware you can catch a mini bus from the airport to the ferry at donsak will cost a couple of hundred baht then you catch the rajah ferry to phangan takes 2 hours on ferry cost about 100 baht cheap as chips ferry takes you into thong sala which is the main town at the time of writing it has been raining off and on for a month or so in 16 months of living here never known it so bad but wouldn't swap it for the world good luck on your trip enjoy

Why not fly to Koh Samui instead? From there its just to take a speadboat to Koh Phagan , you ll get there in 1 hour if you take the boat from Big Buddha pier. But if you really want to go to suatthani, I would reccomend to take the night boat to Koh Pangan. Its slow, but you get to lay om comfy matrasses. It feels very cool, like youre on a "slow boat to china" And Its dead cheap!
