Remote work on a limited tourist visa?

Yup, misleading article.   It concludes: "All you need is a notebook or smartphone, and you can work hassle-free anywhere."  Makes no mention of legal requirements such as type of visa and work permit.

A preferred destination by TAT not necessarily by foreigners .

Yes. Only makes sense if the remote worker is retired, plans to marry a Thai national, or makes millions to justify a million(s)-baht investment into the Elite program, meaning NOT a "fantastic destination for remote work" for most remote workers...

Thailand is a fantastic destination for remote work to enjoy the work-life balance with a choice of wonderful destinations and all of them easily accessible.

For repeat visitors, Thailand has increasingly become a preferred destination for remote work due to affordable cost of living, variety of working spaces and facilities, high quality internet connection, friendly locals, delicious food, excellent healthcare, and diverse and rich culture.

As well as the kingdom’s 5F soft-power pillars of Food, Fight, Fashion, Film, and Festival, Thailand offers a plethora of travel options that can be enjoyed throughout the year in the fields of health and wellness, sport, luxury travel, and gastronomy as well as sustainable and responsible tourism experiences – to provide remote workers the work-life balance they are looking for.
