Local fishermen in Jomtien have pledged improvements, after they faced heavy complaints regarding the uncleanliness of Jomtien Beach, particularly in the area where they have brought their boats ashore and set up a temporary seafood market.

 

Complaints have been lodged against the fishermen by concerned citizens over the current disorganized and cluttered state of this section of Jomtien Beach. The mess has created an unsightly image for tourists and harmed the city’s overall tourism.

 

The concerned area specifically involves the docking area for the local fishing community near the Chaiyapreuk intersection. The critics expressed that this area is cluttered and untidy, with the fishermen’s equipment and personal belongings scattered all over the place.
