Pedestrian accident: Pickup kills elderly woman en route to doctor

A tragic pedestrian accident occurred when a woman was killed by a pickup truck while on her way to the doctor. Despite the driver’s attempt to flee, a six-wheeled truck managed to block his escape. The deceased’s daughter revealed that her mother was heading to the doctor without informing her children as she did not want to disturb them due to their late work schedules.

Thai man physically beat wife to death at construction site in Bangkok

A Thai man turned himself in to police last night after he physically beat his wife to death in the dormitory of a construction site in the Thong Lor neighbourhood of Bangkok.

Stray dog sanctuary’s ‘leash’ of hope in jeopardy as land lease nears end

In an unexpected turn of events, Hope for Strays Foundation, a registered non-profit organisation, is facing a critical situation. Located in Nongprue, to the east of Pattaya, the Foundation is a sanctuary for over 300 dogs. However, the impending end of the land lease in March of next year has put the existence of the shelter in jeopardy. A new home is urgently needed for these dogs, and the current shelter must be dismantled.

Thai court extends detention of 6 police officers, denies bail

The Criminal Court for Corruption and Misconduct Cases granted a police request today (Monday) to have six police officers detained for 12 days, pending investigation into their alleged misconduct in abetting the escape of two murder suspects and destroying evidence.

Giant Python Causes Electrical Fire in Pattaya, Snake Survives

A 3-meter-long python slithered along an electrical wire and caused an electrical fire in Soi Buakhao 15, Pattaya, on the morning of September 11th. The snake survived the incident with minor burns and injuries.
