Police say they continue to investigate the shooting of a highway patrol officer last week during a birthday party in Nakhon Pathom. 

The supervisor of the officer that was shot committed suicide at his home in Pathum Thani yesterday, 
The senior officer and around 25 other police officers were present. Some helped the injured officer, while others fled. Several officers have been apprehended while 5 civilians at the house face charges, including tampering with evidence and hiding the pistol used in the shooting. Police are also examining the house owner's business.

The funeral of the murdered officer took place yesterday.

 

Prime minister Thavisin gave the government's policy statement yesterday with policies designed to boost the economy and relieve people’s financial pressures., His statement focused on digital cash handouts, lowering energy prices and relaxing visa rules to boost tourism. he added his government aimed for growth of at least 5 per cent annually and would make the annual drafting of military conscripts voluntary.

Torrential rain and storms flooded much of Mae Hong son over the last few days, triggering   landslides damaging public utilities, homes, farms and tourist attractions. At least one person was swept away by flood waters, local authorities were trying to support local residents.
