They took turns to cast doubts and pour scorns on the policy statement which they claimed did not match the election promises made by the political parties in the new ruling coalition government

A rather heavily watered down version of the earlier promises...

did we expect miracles from PTP

He is supposedly a successful business man, and as such he should know what a business plan looks like. A policy statement is a government's business plan, it has to describe the policies, their timeline, implementation, funding, impact etc.

He just came up with: I wanna give the people a digital wallet, this will be good for everyone.

What? He truly is like Prayut: I wanna bring back happiness to the Thai people.

In a sense I understand where Prayut's statement came from, he is a nincompoop.

But this guy has a business background...

Only if MFP still exist for the next election.

The probable scenario is that just before the next election MFP will be attacked  with a slew of legal accusations and get banned leaving them no time to form a new party and jump ship.

They would be very naive not to make a strong contingency plan for this.

Fair point, but haven't Pheu Thai had a couple of re-births and name changes since the coup to oust Thaksin in 2006?
