Flights From Changi Mai - Just To Bkk ?

I am planning on flying from BKK in October and spending a few days in Chang Mai. From there I want to travel to Vientienne.

Is it possible to fly between the two cities - or do I have to backtrack somewhere?

Nok Air fly to Udon Thanni. Can get a bus from there.

Flying isn't the cheapest way to do that but sure faster and more comfortable than the boat or van/bus.  Look here:

If you've not spent any time at Luang Prabang, I'd suggest a couple days there, then catch domestic on down to Vientiane.
