Fare Sales Bkk To Ny?

I would like to go home to NY in October and return in December. The cheapest ticket I have found so far is on China Airlines, for 45000b. That is way more than I have ever paid before!!!! Anyone have any tips on getting a cheaper ticket? I would also like to take a side trip to South America in that time, so expenses are adding up quickly.

Have you tried contacting the guy who runs MTT travel, he sponsors the General forum. My friend just booked with him and found his responses fast and helpful. He seems willing to look around and find a deal for you as well.

Also, I think Kuwait Air is offering a deal to New York, about 35,000 return, I think.

britmaverick i did try a few dates in early november/dec... doesn't matter what i put in for thai airways, the fare always comes back as 54000b!! do you kow what dates you put in?

p.s. SBK you're right about kuwait air... i found a fare for 35000... can anyone comment on that airline though? does it suck?

Oh that NY style..........no of course not, its a strict muslim airline: NO alcohol! change in Kuwait and you often get a voucher to enter a special lounge there. inside all planes are the same IMHO.

Try www.12 flight.com Bangkok company, good sourcse of economey tickets . Flights now are a lot cheaper, from Singapore to NY, especially on short notice. I am saving alot by taking Air asia, to Singapore and then United to NY next week!

I finally gave up, bought a one way to the US (its just half the round trip) and now buy my tickets US to BKK. On that route I can find the $800 tickets again. I just hate buying air tickets, they make no sense and are completely inconvenient.
