What's that got to do with the fact that the temperature of 60 degrees Kelvin would be compatible with life, which, after all, depends on chemical reactions.

I may discover the reason after I die and return to the creator, but there are no burning bushes where I live so I can't answer that.

Because earth is a farm planet that the aliens propagated and when harvest time comes, at whatever mass bio weight is expected then they will haul the planet out to deep freeze for storage. Then when they get low on resources and hungry they will begin the thawing process.
