The "clever" lot who got their electric cars to save the planet are very silent now… I remember seeing some last year back in France, queuing up to charge them when the price of electricity was skyrocketing. One of them even had a Ukraine flag on the back of his Tesla… Priceless.

Doubt if anyone is that naïve.  Maybe not add to the local ground level air pollution, but that's about.

Initially, that was why people were doing it, which is no surprise considering it is what government propaganda was pushing. In my experience, the typical Tesla owner is "educated" and knows so much better than everybody else… Fully vaxxed, boosted and charged.

Jimmy Patronis quoted in the video is technically Florida’s state fire marshal, but he’s not a fireman he is a restaurant owner and now a Republican politician telling lies about EVs.

The State Fire Marshal’s office shared a bulletin by the National Fire Protection Association about how to handle submerged hybrid and electric vehicles. In the bulletin, it plainly says: “Submersion in water (especially salt water) can damage low and high voltage components. Although not a common occurrence, this could result in an electrical short and potential fire once the vehicle is no longer submerged.”
