National – This Friday, October 13th, marks the seven-year anniversary of the passing of His Royal Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX) who passed away peacefully in 2016.


The Thai government is preparing events to observe the anniversary, a day that is also designated as a national holiday.

Thai Police not sure Norwegian man killed his partner in Chiang Mai

Police in Chiang Mai is not as sure as they initially were when on Tuesday 3 October 2023 they told local media that they suspected a 58 year old Norwegian man was the person who had committed the murder of a 39 year old Thai man in Chiang Mai.

Phuket family’s plea for justice after harrowing hit-and-run incident

Government to trial 4 am closing for Thailand’s nightlife venues

The Thai government is working to identify pilot locations for a trial of late-night closing for the country’s nightlife. Interior Minister Anutin Charnvirakul says his office is liaising with related parties to find locations where entertainment venues would be allowed to remain open until 4 am.

THE THAI Embassy in Tel Aviv arranged for the return of 19 more Thai workers injured in the Israel-Hamas war with the El Al airline flight having departed at 4.30 a.m. local time this morning (Oct. 13) and due to land at Suvarnabhumi Airport at 5.15 p.m., Naewna newspaper and TV Channel 7 said.
