Four more Thais are believed to have been killed in the Hamas attacks in Israel last week, bringing the death toll to 28, with 17 still being held hostage and 16 injured, including some who have already been flown back to Thailand.

Labour Permanent Secretary Pairoj Chotikasathien said today (Sunday) that he has received a report, from the Thai labour attaché in Tel Aviv, that four more Thais are reported to have died, but this is yet to be verified by Israeli authorities.

Of the 7,540 Thais who have applied to return home, 94 have changed their minds and chosen to stay on to work in Israel. Altogether 187 Thai evacuees, including some injured, have been flown back to Thailand to date, with the latest group of 90 arriving early this morning.

Pairoj said that Thais, who are members of the Labour Ministry’s fund to assist Thais working overseas, will each receive 15,000 baht in welfare if they return to Thailand before the expiry of their employment contracts due to war. Those who are disabled will receive an additional 30,000 baht each and 40,000 baht for the funeral expenses of those who have died.

"Killed" is an pretty word. I watched some of the videos showing what they did to those poor, innocent Thai workers and can't get those images out of my head.
Brutally slaughtered, decapitated, raped, burnt and desecrated.

The world must see these atrocities. Wish it was possible to share those uncensored videos here.

Talks between Thailand’s allies in the Middle East and Hamas over the release of Thai hostages are still under way, but there are no positive signs yet of whether or when they will be released, said Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin today (Monday).

He said that the government is trying all means possible to secure their safe return.

He disclosed that one more Thai is reported to have been killed in Israel, bringing the Thai death toll to 29, and one more Thai is reported to be being held hostage, adding that the situation in Israel remains tense and critical.

Sadly it's hard to believe any of the hostages will remain alive once the full scale invasion begins

Ah yes, pray. Always effective! I'm pretty sure the Hamas terrorists said their prayers to seek blessing and success before killing babies, raping women and taking hostages.

Try offering Hamas extended 90-day tourist visas to Thailand?

Hamas will use them as bargaining tool to release Hamas  soldiers  murderers

Unless they use them as human shields during the conflict

Thai workers seem to be at the whim of their "employers".

Twenty eight Thai workers were taken back to a danger zone less than 10 kilometres from Gaza and abandoned by their Israeli employer at a tomato farm. Pongsakorn Intaworn, 31, a native of Udon Thani province, said on Monday the employer transported them 200 kilometres away from the conflict zone on Oct 10 only to drive them back to the farm on Sunday, Oct 15 and left them there. He urges on social media for the Thai Embassy in Tel Aviv to rescue them immediately.

A few other stories appeared on Israeli news and social media, generating negative backlash (and in one case, a complaint to police). As in any country, some people are scum, most aren't. There are also many helping to care for workers relocated from the south, a couple of Thai food restaurants donating dishes, that sort of thing.
