Fire Engulfs Swap Meet Warehouse in Samut Prakan, Investigation Underway

A fierce fire broke out at a warehouse in Samut Prakan's Theparak district, which was being used as a storage facility for a swap meet. The fire consumed six storage rooms and two vehicles. Authorities are working to determine the cause.

 

On October 15th, police officers from the Samrong Nuea Police Station were notified about the fire at the swap meet warehouse in Theparak, a district in Samut Prakan, as reported by Daily News.

 

They quickly coordinated their efforts with more than ten firefighting vehicles from Theparak Municipality and nearby areas. Additionally, personnel from the Potecktung Foundation were sent to the scene.

 

The storage facility was a single-story structure with multiple interconnected booths.

 

The fire raged intensely, sending billowing smoke into the air, and there were occasional explosions from gas cylinders, making firefighting efforts quite challenging.

 

It took over an hour to finally get the flames under control. Initial assessments show substantial damage, with six storage rooms and two vehicles completely destroyed. Fortunately, there have been no reports of injuries or fatalities.

 

Officials have reached out to individuals involved, asking for their statements as they continue to investigate the exact cause of the fire. More evidence will be collected at the site today to further examine the cause.
