The Thai cabinet announced four New Year public holidays today (Tuesday), from December 29th through January 1st, 2024, said Dr. Prommin Lertsuridej, secretary-general of the Office of the Prime Minister.

Young man survives harrowing motorcycle crash in Trat

A shocking accident occurred when a 24 year old man lost control of his motorcycle and crashed into a concrete pole. The impact caused a large gash on his chest, exposing his heart.

Thai Government Revamps Sports Funding Initiative

BANGKOK (NNT) - The "One Sport, One State Enterprise" program receives renewed focus as changes expand the scope of funding. Initiated in 2005 (B.E. 2548), the program aims to foster greater collaboration between private sectors and various sports associations across Thailand. Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin chaired the committee meeting to discuss the revitalization of this initiative.

A 60 year old woman driving a Toyota Fortuner fatally hit a disabled man crossing the road. Shocked, she fled the scene before reporting to the local police station.

Thailand’s business travel bounce-back: TCEB predicts 2024 revival, 2019 return by 2025-26

The Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) forecasts a business travel sector revival by 2024, with 23.2 million travellers expected. However, it predicts a business travel return to the pre-pandemic levels of 2019 only by 2025 or 2026 due to global economic unpredictability.

A Thai bank employee stumbled upon the dead body of a Thai woman when he visited her home to collect a debt in Chon Buri province. It is predicted that the woman took her own life at least three months before she was found.

Phi Phi Islands become highest earning national park in Thailand

It’s arguably already Thailand’s most famous national park, now Krabi’s Hat Nappharat Thara-Mu Ko Phi Phi National Park has become its highest earning. The star attraction remains Maya Bay although most people visiting the national park will visit other locations and islands in the archipelago.
