Popular Post snoop1130 Posted November 10, 2023 Popular Post Posted November 10, 2023 The Tourist Police, led by the National Police Chief, have begun to wear new reflective jackets while ensuring public safety for both residents and tourists. The move, spearheaded by Police Lieutenant Colonel Saksira Pheuakam, aims to inspire confidence and security in the preservation of people’s lives and property as the festive season approaches. The operation was launched at the centralwOrld shopping complex at the Ratchaprasong intersection, in line with the policies of Police Lieutenant General Torsak Sukvimol, the National Police Chief. The new reflective jackets have been distributed to the police stations under the jurisdiction of the Metropolitan Police Bureau, Provincial Police Regions 1-9, Central Investigation Bureau, and Tourist Police Bureau, or areas with significant tourist destinations. The reflective jackets were distributed on October 16, intended for use in maintaining safety for both citizens and tourists. Police Lieutenant Colonel Kwanphol Pengduen emphasised the importance of the new initiative, noting the jackets’ retroreflector colour, which is visible from a distance of 200 to 500 metres. The choice of colour is in line with the uniforms worn by police officers in the United States, the United Kingdom, and numerous other countries. Not in Pattaya which is famed for its Invisible Police. Why invest in Tourist police uniforms when so many Thais are being 'allowed' to die every day on the roads?
