One Big Beautiful Bill? More Like One Big Bloody Oversized Stich-Up, Bruv
The thing is, I don't think the White House would print false information on their web site because it's too easy to trace it back as a lie. Trump might lie on the news in the heat of the moment, but the White House will not print total garbage nonsense on their official web site. It's not a Banana Republic. -

Crime Thai Prosecutor and Daughter Arrested in Japan for Assaulting Airport Staff
In short.....No, “Thais are the children of Asia” is not a Japanese phrase - not in language, culture, or common usage. It does not exist in Japanese idiom or proverbs, and there is no record of it being a traditional saying or a recognised expression in Japan. Native Japanese speakers and scholars of Japanese culture would likely find the phrase unfamiliar and puzzling. If it has ever been said, it’s likely from a non-Japanese source, possibly used metaphorically, patronisingly, or romantically by an outsider referring to Thailand’s cultural charm or position in Asia. Thus: where did you get this 'idea' from that the Japanese say this ??? -

dying from cancer at home in Thailand
Then 3 years in prison would cost you between 5.5 to 7.5 million THB. Plus you'd be kicked out of Thailand at the end of your sentence. Private psychiatrists can be seen by appointment. Then you have a legal prescription. But hell, I'm not going to argue with you. You consider it to be an acceptable risk - up to you. I wear a helmet when I ride a motorcycle and a seat-belt in my car. And I have a prescription for diazepam. If others chose not to wear a helmet, not to put on their seat-belts, or choose to carry and consume tranquilizers without a prescription - hey, up to them. You pay your money and take your chances. -

Tourism Tourism Shock: Thailand's Visitor Numbers See Alarming Plunge
Think I have been to HH 5 times, with the same conclusion each time, but wouldn't say it was all bad. In 25 years I have seen most of Thailand and have a good idea of what things should cost. At the end of the day, whatever floats your boat. -

Introduction to Personal Income Tax in Thailand
Sure. If that money is not assessable income per the DTA, like govt pensions and Social Security. Or pre 2024 income, as found in savings accounts, CDs, IRAs, etc (exempt per Por 162 decree). Or a loan from your bank, or a loan from mortgaging your house or other assets. Inheritances. Gift from Aunt Agnes. Still short, 'cause you only have assessable income, like from a 2024 or later private pension? Instead of remitting it to Thailand (and thus subject to taxation), buy an asset you can collateralize, then take a loan and send that money to Thailand. By the way, no one is going to scrutinize the assessability of your remittances. It would be too resource intensive -- with few gains -- to talk to everyone with large remittances. Besides, BoI is doing all they can to encourage Foreign Direct Investment. And harassing potential investors ain't in the cards. Just curious: Why do you think the money you might forward to Thailand for a condo purchase -- would be assessable for Thai tax purposes? Are you cashing out a large chunk of IRA? If so, literal reading says Por 162 exempts all pre 2024 monies in this IRA -- just pay Uncle Sam.
