The DSI Facebook page published a photo of Suriya who wrote, ‘I had known that this day would come on the first day I took the leadership of this office. I chose my own way. I’m not sorry; I did my best. I felt honoured to work with you.”

 

The director-general of the Department of Special Investigation (DSI), Pol Col Suriya Singhakamol, has been removed and appointed as the deputy permanent secretary of justice by the cabinet.

Thai authorities demand registration for individuals holding over five SIM cards

Under the leadership of Prasert Chantraruangthong, the Committee for the Prevention and Suppression of Cybercrime has mandated the registration of individuals possessing more than five SIM card numbers.

Violence against women and children in Thailand triples in 2022

Bangkok’s Loy Krathong cleanup sees 640,000 eco-friendly wonders whisked away

Following the Loy Krathong Festival Bangkok’s waterways were cleared of nearly 640,000 Krathongs, most of which were crafted from natural, biodegradable materials.

Pubs and bars in parts of Thailand a step closer to 4am closing

The Cabinet agreed in principle on Tuesday to an amendment to the Interior Ministry’s regulations which would allow pubs and bars in Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket, Chon Buri and Koh Samui to stay open until 4am.
