looks the same as when I went last some time pre covid.

Are they still operating the one way waiting system?

A few months ago I did that trip up, not the first time but the last, it did cost my front tyre, so had to buy 2 new front tyres.
By the way, the authorities are always difficult when you want to go up.
Also, it is not allowed to fly a drone upstairs, it is not indicated but you are told when you are doing it.

And yes they still operating the one way waiting system, unlike before.

Drones have been banned in all Thai national parks for years, and any responsible operator would know that, or at least ask before attempting to fly ...  anywhere.

Oh, I wasn't aware of that, by the way, did you make that film yourself?
That would imply that you are of Japanese descent and have visited many nature parks already here?

Do you have to have a 4x4 to go up here or will a normal pick-up truck do?

I've don't the trip to the "top" many times in the past.

I stopped some time before Covid because they told me they had closed the upper part of the trail.  I got the impression they were going to "metal" it - they obviously haven't.

I always used a customised 4x4 in this and many other national parks - of course with off-road tyres the likelihood of a flat is minimised - but I use to carry 2 spares anyway.

It is my intention to revisit in Feb this year.
